Warranty Coverage


At ECOGO Canada , we offer a warranty on all new products purchased from us against defects in manufacturing. Please note that for open-box and used products, warranty coverage is not provided unless specifically stated on the product page, invoice, or order confirmation. We encourage customers to thoroughly review the warranty information before purchasing such items.

The warranty for new products begins on the date of purchase or, if the product is shipped, the date of delivery. Our warranty typically covers the core components of the product, such as the frame, motor, and electrical components, provided the issue is related to a defect in materials or workmanship. However, the warranty does not cover issues arising from cosmetic damage, minor imperfections, or damage caused by misuse, accidents, or improper handling.

In the event that a product requires repair or replacement, Ecogo will also offer an in-house warranty for the work completed, ensuring that the replacement or repair is free from defects in workmanship.

Proof of Purchase
In order to make a warranty claim, the customer must provide the original proof of purchase, which includes an invoice or order confirmation. This proof may be provided by someone other than the original buyer, provided they possess the correct documentation to support the warranty request.

Warranty Validity
The warranty applies regardless of where the product was purchased, as long as it is a valid new product purchased directly from Ecogo, or from an authorized Ecogo outlet. Customers are eligible for warranty service regardless of the location of purchase within Canada.

Extended Protection Plan
To offer additional peace of mind, some products sold by Ecogo are eligible for an Extended Protection Plan. This optional plan extends the original warranty beyond the manufacturer's standard coverage period, giving customers enhanced protection for a longer duration. Please refer to the product details or inquire with our team for information regarding availability and terms.

Service Lead Time
While we make every effort to repair products promptly, the time required to complete warranty service can vary depending on the complexity of the issue and availability of parts. We strive to minimize the inconvenience caused to our customers and complete repairs as quickly as possible.

Service Locations
Warranty services are provided at two locations:

  • Ecogo Service Center in Toronto (St. Clair West), Ontario.
  • Ecogo Service Center in Mississauga , Ontario.


Customers are responsible for shipping costs, including the safe packaging of products and transportation to our service centers. If the warranty claim is approved, Ecogo will cover the cost of one-way return shipping to the customer.

Costs and Payments
Please note that shipping, labor, and parts fees may apply to certain repairs. If a product is not picked up, or if invoices remain unpaid, within 3 weeks after the completion of service, the product will be disposed of at the customer’s expense. We urge customers to ensure timely collection and payment to avoid any disposal charges or loss of the product.

Warranty Periods and What’s Covered

Structural Parts (Main Frame, Moving Parts): 1 year for new products purchased in-store.
Electrical Parts (Motor, Circuit Boards, etc.): 1 year for new products purchased in-store.
Battery: 1 year for new products (only covers manufacturing defects; damage caused by misuse, overcharging, or other user-related issues is not covered).
Warranty Exclusions

The warranty will be voided under the following conditions:

  • The product is outside the warranty period.
  • The damage is caused by misuse, accidents, water, or unauthorized repairs.
    Opening a scooter or e-bike prior to inspection will immediately void the warranty.
  • Cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches or scuffs) or damage resulting from improper use (e.g., riding on curbs, walls, or over rough terrain).
  • Flat tires or damage caused by the product being mishandled during shipping.
  • Water damage to the electrical components: If it is determined that water damage has affected the electrical components of the product, the warranty will be void.
